How can I get the value of a column in a table that has a foreign key link with a parameter in a dropdown?
I have 2 tables which are linked by a foreign key link.
The first table is called (RoomAssignment) and the second table is called (RoomType).
I have a dropdown menu where users select the room type.
This dropdown menu is connected with the RoomType column in the RoomAssignment table.
What I want to do is to display all the entries from RoomAssignment which are linked with the same room type selected.
I already tried to use a query like this:
SELECT *
FROM RoomAssignment AS a
WHERE a.RoomType = @roomtype
Unfortunately, this will only return the entries which have the same roomtype as the currently selected item in the dropdown menu.
So how can I get the entries which are linked to the selected item in be359ba680
